Are You Using Video In Your Marketing Efforts?

Filed Under (Lighter side) by admin on 17-04-2008

Video has been gaining popularity in all aspects of marketing, almost all of the successful marketers online are using video in some form or another. It is being used in many different ways and the possibilities are ever expanding in any type of business. Whether you are selling shoes, dog food, dream vacations, or even a car, videos are being used to market most if not all of these products. We as a society have become used to or expecting to see something visual to relate to. The concept of using videos in any type of marketing has become a necessity in order to sell goods or service.

Video marketing is now being introduced and used instead of the more conventional sales letter. The whole concept of a video sales letter can be incorporated rather easily. From the opening statement, calls to action, features and benefits, to a strong closing statement, hard sale and scarcity tactics can all be used with greater and more effective ease using the power of video marketing. It seems as if a whole new type of marketing has started, and is beginning to take the place of conventional sales letters. This type of selling can take much less time and resources to develop than writing a lengthy sales letter or even paying some copy writer thousands of dollars to write a killer sales letter for you.

Another form of video marketing is being used to provide quality free content for subscribers. Video just seems to get stronger as more and more new product launches come out involving video as their prime mode of selling and promoting new products. Building anticipation by showing a new video each day for two or even three weeks prior to a new product being introduced. Video has really become the focal point to a new era of marketing online.

The viral effect of videos can have a phenomenal effect in creating new customers. As other marketers promote a new idea that is soon to be released, it provides content for their customers and all marketers involved profit by just suggesting to check out a simple video.

It is becoming more evident each and every day that if you are not using some type of video in your marketing efforts you are leaving money on the table and your marketing efforts are in the stone ages. With You Tube, Google Video, and all the other video submission sites, the possibilities are endless. With millions of visitors each and every day to each of these sites marketing online has become the “Video Marketing Age”.

Blogging Tips on What You Should Do or Not Do

Filed Under (Lighter side) by admin on 06-04-2008

Are you looking for effective blogging tips? You’ve come to the right place. It’s true that any individual can upload or open a blog online for the world to read and see. However, this is not a very easy thing.

Maintaining a blog in the long run is a bit difficult especially if you want to have a successful one. You can actually find blogging platforms for free online and most of the platforms are simple to use. Even a technophobic writer can use such blogging platforms but it is difficult to find qualities like originality, enthusiasm, creativity, patience, and spare time.

Many people who tried writing blogs had initially high passions for blogging but after some time, they neglected their blogs until it finally died. There are only a few bloggers who maintain weekly posts for a large number of subscribers. If you want to know their secrets to maintaining successful blogs for many years, just read on.

The first one is to write only about the things you know and love. Never write about something that you hardly know of and what you don’t like. Most individuals who want to write blogs often choose topics that are of great interest to other people, and of course, themselves. Make sure that you choose a topic that you’re interested and eliminate those that you don’t like, even if the topic is said to generate more traffic. As long as you’re passionate about the topic, go on and write a blog about it.

When you’re writing a blog, make sure that you have a new, funny, and smart insight. If you’re about to write something that was already written by other bloggers, stop writing about it and instead, try to think about a new and better idea or insight. Choose another topic instead.

The next helpful tip is to be creative. As always, creativity is very important in maintaining successful blogs. Once you’ve posted a certain idea, don’t repeat it all over again. Adapting fresh ideas of other bloggers is definitely not a good idea. If you want to gain the loyalty of your subscribers, you must always try to be original in every blog you write. This way, your loyal subscribers will stay hooked on the blogs you make.

It is also good if you always consider your readers. Your blogs are like featured columns and so you must update at least weekly. Try to add new posts so that you will not be forgotten. If in case you can’t write new posts, try to inform your readers.

Try to socialize with the readers. You can encourage them to take an active part in your blog by adding polls and asking questions. They will be more than glad to add personal comments. If you want to improve your blogging skills, you must also read the blogs of other bloggers.

The internet is an untamed area and if you want to survive this kind of world, you must have a skin like that of an elephant. Expect to receive harassments and anonymous insults.  Ignore the insults and harassments as long as your privacy and safety is not affected.

These blogging tips are really effective, so you’d better think about them and incorporate them in your blogging.

Video Marketing, A Viral Craze

Filed Under (Product Reviews) by admin on 02-04-2008

Today and for quite some time video marketing has been a focal point of success in marketing
any type of product. Look at the commercials during a Super Bowl, or a high paying sports
event, companies pay millions of dollars in order to show a 30 second commercial.

Video marketing is similar in so many ways. You have a product that you want to promote,
submit it to all the video sites and you have put this in front of as many if not more people
as those million dollar commercials. Video marketing has been sweeping the internet for years
now and its viral effect has taken internet by storm. If you are not using video in your
marketing ventures you are really leaving a lot of money on the table.

If you really want to find an easy way to increase traffic to your site, increase your opt-in
customers you really need to do some research and learn how to create your first video. The
most important aspect is to have a plan. Make sure you take your time and map out what
content you want to share with your customers. It is very important to not make it to long,
you want to get your point across and keep it simple.

With video marketing you can video yourself talking on the screen but the easiest way is to
do a screen capture or some sort of power point presentation integrated into video. Again you
want to plan what you want on your video. Have a beginning introduction and make sure to
cover all of points of the video content with a strong closing statement. You can put your
URL link to your site at the end of the video for your visitors to visit your site.

Video marketing is being used as a short pre-sell a lot of products today and because most
people are visually influenced that if they see something that interest them they are more
likely to visit your site. Another form of video marketing is to have a title or still
picture with some content prepared that is interesting but this would need to be something
that would be valuable for your target crowd to stay around to hear it.

I hope you will take advantage of the information provided here and start your own viral
marketing craze.

Good News With One Way Links

Filed Under (Product Reviews) by admin on 28-03-2008

Well I left off at the last post trying out a new linking strategy. Well I have some good news, while I am not on the first page of the search results, but I have made some good strides. Just by following the step by step instructions I am seeing some results. Now I have picked a subject that extremely competitive, I did not expect to see it on the first page but I am firmly holding not one but two spots in search results. Now it is showing up on a long keyword, (Internet Marketing Product Review Live), so I am tickled to death to have made it thus far. This means that I have been indexed and on this keyword it is at 61 and 62 right behind a well known marketer on this search term. Go and check it out! I am pretty excited with this and I am going to do it again but with a twist.

This is a relatively new blog that I made my first post on March 16th. It may show that the blog is older than that but I installed the blog but did nothing with it for a couple of months.  I would have to say that this linking method really works and is an excellent product to have in your marketing arsenal. I have created a resource column in the sidebar and this is where I will be putting links to the products that I will be reviewing for now on.

If you think that links are important, well you are right but I would have to say the one way links are the ticket to good results. If you really want to find that illustrious free traffic source,  you need to make sure you find a good way to get those inbound links or one way links.  Anytime you can get free traffic to your site without having to pay for advertising you are definitely doing something right.

I will be moving on to something else I my next post. Please leave your comments.

Backlinks, Are They Really That Important?

Filed Under (Product Reviews) by admin on 25-03-2008

In todays competitive market of building blog websites traffic is the key. Everywhere you go everybody is talking about traffic. If you want to get ahead you better have a good plan or a lot of money becuase you will be left behind if you don’t. If you want to be successful on the internet you will need several things to get going in the right direction. Here is a short list of the basic things you will need.

1. A domain name
2. Web hosting account
3. A good Word Press theme
4. The right links to your site
5. Traffic, traffic, traffic, and more traffic!

Links are an important cog in that wheel of traffic, but they also have to be the right kinds of links. Links from other sites are great but if they are not the right type they will do more to discredit your site. Links from other sites would need to be something that is relevant to you site. The absolute best type of links are backlinks or one way links to your website. A backlink is a link that links back to your site, one way, not linking back to the site of origin.

Leaving a comment on a blog are these types of backlinks. Links from authority sites are probably one of the best to cherish. Links from authority sites get you good Google juice. This definitely gets you moved up in the rankings and get you noticed. Question is how do I get these types of links? Hum, thats a good question?

In trying to find those all important links that will get me moving in the right direction I stumbled upon a unique way of obtaining these types of links. I am actually experimenting with this now and hopefully it will start to give me some good results. The whole process is very painless and you don’t have to be very technical. If I can do it anyone can do it.

I will be posting more information pertaining to this in future posts hopefully with some good results. Actually there are only about 8-9 million blogs out there blogging about the same subject that I am, so I am sure getting ranked will be easy. Not! If I do get indexed and ranked I will be quite a happy camper. The results they posted were a top 15 ranking in 3 short days. Now that is remarkable, and the topic they chose was not an easy one also. So I am quite excited to see what becomes of this. Stay tuned and I will keep you posted.

Why Graphics Are Important

Filed Under (Graphic Design) by admin on 21-03-2008

The problem with many websites is that they simply are not attractive or visually appealing, and secondly they’re just plain difficult to use. This is where eye-catching web graphics is vitally important. If your website is not appealing or attractive in any way, a website user simply moves on. Why?

1.Graphic Design creates professionalism
While you may have the best product in the world, if your website is second-rate in the visual department your company is seen as, simply put, unprofessional. As commerce and e-commerce has evolved, the public’s general perception of good graphics has certainly been heightened. This is also true as more and more of the public use computers, and even know simple things like fonts off-hand. People intuitively know what looks professional and what doesn’t, and a lack of any good graphics simply gives the impression that your product and your company must also lack in professionalism and pride. It’s the same as when a guy walks into a boardroom with a clean cut and well-fitting suit. People sit up, take notice, and immediately assume he knows what he’s talking about. Web graphics and credibility work hand in hand.

2.Proper web graphics creates accessibility
This is perhaps where most people don’t understand the power of graphic design for the internet. But, getting this right is the fundamental difference between a successful website and non-successful website. Again, you may have the best product in the world but – simply put – if people can’t find the buy now buttons no one is going to order your product. Proper graphics equals an efficiently performing website.

This is why your webpage’s buttons for click, buy now buttons and navigating buttons are so important. They need to be seen easily, they need to function easily, and they even need to be visually appealing. By creating this mix you are, in effect, creating an EXPERIENCE for your customer : and this means, they will return to your website and even tell others about it, either through traditional word-of-mouth or new media word of mouth (such as blogs, social bookmarking sites etc.) The importance of this point cannot be overstressed.

This is also important when you consider what blog header templates or squeeze page templates to use for your website. You want your website to be a delightful experience to your customer, as this increases your standing with them in both your product and your company. Bottom line : it gives the impression that you are a customer-friendly and professional organization– an impression that may be true of your company, but needs to actually be represented adequately otherwise web users will not believe it.

So, these two points show why and how web graphics and internet graphic design are VITAL for the image of your company and product. Should they be neglected, you can actually cause negative results not just for your website, but your entire company image. Many web-designers do not focus their graphic design on these two areas correctly, and so it is most helpful if you keep your eye out for them; especially if you, as a company, are looking at hiring a web-graphics expert for your website needs.

Increasing Conversion Rates On Your Website

Filed Under (Graphic Design) by admin on 18-03-2008

It’s all fair and well going to a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) company and getting your website fully optimized for the web search engines. But even if they manage to succeed in getting you a top listing in the major search engines like Google or Yahoo! they still cannot guarantee high conversion rates.

Secondly, you may even have the most incredible product of our century, but neither that nor SEO can ensure you receive high conversion rates. This is because there may be one element still missing: web graphics.

Excellent web graphics is vital in increasing your company and product image. If you don’t give a creative, intuitive and professional image through the visual aspects of your website, you’ve already lost your customer. They will simply click ‘back’ in their browser and move on. You must grab them immediately through graphic design: and you must KEEP them at your site through graphic design.

Grabbing them from the initial outset comes in a number of basic forms: your logo, the font used for the site, the background color and the initial images. Any website that uses neon yellow Times New Roman font over a bright red background is going to get very little to no conversions: that’s guaranteed. If sites like Amazon.com didn’t create a visually appealing website that’s easy to read (even for the visually impaired) and easy to use through it’s graphical interface, they certainly wouldn’t be where they are today REGARDLESS of their placing on the search engines. This is why blog header templates or squeeze page templates are so important.

Having said that, very few people realise (and this includes many SEO companies) that the design of your website also does affect your placement in the search engines. If you have a poorly designed website, it can make the site difficult for the search engines to scan, and therefore they immediately do not give you good placement.

After gaining the initial attention of web users, you must KEEP them on the website through the graphical interface you use. This is why well-designed, easily readable and easy-to-use buy now buttons, or buttons for click, are actually incredibly important. They may seem like a small thing, but they are – in fact – vital in giving the web-user a satisfactory experience of your website.

A visually appealing, smooth flowing interface creates experience, and experience – believe it or not – translates directly into conversions. Why? Well, people are given the impression that you’re a professional company, and that if your website works so seamlessly so should your product. Secondly, you’ve managed to keep them at your website before they went browsing on, and by keeping them long enough they forget about shopping and feel that they’ve already found what they were looking for. It’s the exact same principal between a well-designed shop at the mall, and a poorly designed shop. Most people shop where they just feel good. That is the secret you need to apply to your website.

Two Simple Ways Of Keeping Users On Your Website

Filed Under (Graphic Design) by admin on 16-03-2008

Optimizing your website with efficient SEO, link-popularity and directory submission (amongst many other things) can definitely do the job of getting your site to the top of the web search engines, and thus generate large volumes of traffic for you.

But that’s only one side of the coin. The other side is ensuring web users stay on your website, and that those users turn into conversions.

So, how do we go about doing that? Here are two very simple things you can do:

1.Tweak your graphic design
If the web user is not immediately drawn into your site from the moment their browser loads up your page, they will simply move on (and probably never return.) Make sure that your site is visually appealing with creative and adequate web graphics. Design is not all there is, as we’ll see, but it is the tool you need to use in your arsenal to glue visitors to your website from the beginning. Research shows that if people are not grabbed within ten seconds, they intuitively move on. The design of your website, in terms of the visual, is of paramount importance at the initial stage.

2.Make sure your content has value
One of the biggest mistakes many website owners make is they create websites that are brilliantly optimized for search engines but lack any real value to people surfing the web. More than that, they get point 1 above correct and design a breathtaking site, but fail to keep the users on for much longer because the contact of the site is boring, irrelevant or totally lackluster. So, the web user moves on.

Your site needs to add value by having content that will teach the viewer something, uplift them in some way, and – if you’re successful – inspire them to perform the necessary action you desire from them on your site (such as signing up for a newsletter or purchasing your product etc.) You must charm the user. Perhaps the best analogy to use is one we all understand: the relationships between the sexes. While he/she may be beautiful, and even popular; if they aren’t charming enough in their personality, no relationship lasts. You need to approach your website in a similar way.

There are a number of tricks you can use to do this. Blogging is a major way of keeping people interested in your site, and has very much become an industry standard. So, start a blog. If you can’t maintain it, hire a professional writer who can. If you need a design, see the many blog header templates that are available. Second, add an RSS feed to your site, so that people can be constantly up to date with the latest news from your corporation, products, or blog. Lastly, you can even personalize the home page, or add a forum, or add a ’special area’ where only those who have signed up can access.

You need to always ensure your content stays fresh, innovative and up-to-date; this includes your blog. One of the best ways of doing this is hiring a professional freelance writer who can maintain your site for you and always ensure your content is fantastic.

By keeping the above in mind, at all times, you are assured that people will find your website, like your website, and stay on your website; becoming long-standing customers in the end.
